Peer Review Statement
Aegean Journal of Environmental Sciences is a peer-reviewed journal which publishes original research contributions. All manuscript submissions are subject to initial appraisal by the Editors-in-Chief. Within 2 weeks following initial submission, author(s) will be notified whether their manuscript was deemed suitable for further consideration. Manuscripts will then be subjected to peer review by at least two independent, anonymous expert referees. A decision on the ms, based on the referees’ suggestions, will be communicated to the author(s) within 2 months following submission. All peer review is double blind.
Aegean Journal of Environmental Sciences accepts contributions in English. Nevertheless, in order to enhance the dissemination of scientific knowledge to the lay public, author(s) of accepted papers will be asked to contribute, alongside their final manuscript, an extended abstract of the paper in their mother language (if other than English).
Aegean Journal of Environmental Sciences is published annually, on September of each calendar year. Nevertheless, all accepted papers will be available online through the AEJES’ website following their final acceptance.
