Wastewater characteristics, primary, secondary and tertiary treatment of municipal wastewater.

  3. Primary treatment
  4. Environmental microbiology, microbial growth
  5. Biological treatment (activated sludge, BOD removal)
  6. Biological treatment (activated sludge, nitrification/denitrification)
  7. Biological treatment (activated sludge, P removal)
  8. Field Trip – Mytilene’s Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)
  9. Wastewater disinfection (chlorination)
  10. Wastewater reuse
  11. Sludge treatment (thickening, anaerobic digestion)
  12. Sludge treatment (dewatering) – Sludge reuse
  13. Occurrence and fate of micropollutants in STPs
