LECTURE: Environmental Pollution in Ethiopia

On Thursday 20.2.2025 at 13:00 Prof. Alemnew Berhanu Kassegne will give a lecture entitled “Environmental Pollution in Ethiopia: the impact of urbanization and industrialization” in Room D (ground floor) of the Department. Environment.  The lecture will be in English.

Alemnew Berhanu Kassegne is an Associate Professor at the Department of Natural Resource Management, University of Debre Berhan in Ethiopia. For the past two and a half years, he has served as an urban planner and environmental team leader in preparing the structure plan for the city of Debre Birhan. His research interests include groundwater and surface water quality assessment, persistent organic pollutant analyses, solid and liquid waste management and environmental planning.
